Tong Wu

I'm a graduate student at Rutgers University and pursuing a PhD degree in Computer Engineering. I'm supervised by Dr. Jorge Ortiz as a researcher in Cyber-Physical Intelligence Lab. My research interest is to built deep learning architectures for social signal modeling during human-computer interaction. My work focuses on improving system objectives and user experience by learning human behaviors. I blend a background in engineering and research. Much of my work have been applied to a broad range of sensing systems including smart vehicles, smart robots and smart buildings by machine learning, multi-modal learning, human-computer interaction and reinforcement learning.

I took interns as a Machine Learning Engineer @Meta. inc and Research Scientist @Honda Research Insititute in 2021, @Amazon Web Services as a Software Engineer in 2019, @Alibaba Group as a Software Engineer in 2018.

I attained my M.S. degree in Computer Engineering at Rutgers University in 2019, and B.S. in Electronic and Information Engineering at University of Electronic Science and Technology of China (UESTC) in 2018.
